Prioritization workshops №2 with stakeholders of the Vovchynets Hills

In the framework of the project “Management and Utilization of Urban Forests as Natural Heritage in Danube Cities”, a second priority workshop was held on March 22 with the stakeholders of the Vovchynets Hills.

Representatives of the executive committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, forestry, designers and environmentalists were invited to participate in the event.

Participants of the meeting had an opportunity to get acquainted with the concept of the URBforDAN project in detail, to offer their vision in the implementation of the planned activities, to work in groups and to jointly identify potential locations on the map to improve the conditions for users of the Vovchynets Hills. Group work was hampered by a role-playing game, which contributed to identifying possible difficulties and risks, as well as generating new ideas.

The project «Management and Utilization of Urban Forests as Natural Heritage in Danube Cities ” is being implemented within the Danube Transnational Program funded by the EU funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI). The responsible partner for implementing the project activities in Ivano-Frankivsk is the Investment Policy Department of the Executive Committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council.
