URBforDAN Kickoff Meeting

On September 12-14, “URBforDAN Kickoff Meeting” was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, within the framework of the project “Management and Utilization of Urban Forests as Natural Heritage in Danube Cities (URBforDAN)”. URBforDAN project aims to solve urgent problems and needs related to the sustainable management of natural heritage in the cities of the Danube region, which requires effective transnational approach. URBforDAN intended to modify the urban forest management and use of ecosystem services.

The main activities within the framework of the project will be held on the territory of the Vovchynets hills. To reach this goal, it is planned to involve stakeholders in the process of preparing a plan for sustainable management and protection of urban forests. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to install children’s playgrounds, a service station for bicycles, a viewing platform and a parking area.
